Tottenham Hotspur

(also infml Spurs)
an English football club whose home ground is at White Hart Lane in the north London district of Tottenham. It was established in 1882 and has had many successes. In 1961 it became the first club in the 20th century to win both the League Championship and the FA Cup in the same season. It has won the FA Cup eight times and the League Championship twice. Famous players who have played for the club in recent years include Paul Gascoigne and Gary Lineker.
