Sedaka

(1939– )
a US pop singer who has written more than 500 songs. He studied at the Juilliard School of Music. His first hit was Stupid Cupid (1958), sung by Connie Francis. He then made several successful records of his own, including Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen (1961), Breaking Up Is Hard to Do (1962) and Laughter in the Rain (1974).
