Football Association

a British organization that was established in 1863 to decide the rules of the game of football. It controls the way game is played in England and is responsible for all English international football. It tries to encourage the playing of football by men, women and children and organizes several competitions each year, most importantly the FA Cup. Its members include representatives from the different professional and non-professional football leagues.
