Bow·man (bōʹmən), William Scott. Known as “Scotty.” Born 1933.
Canadian hockey coach who guided the Montreal Canadiens, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Detroit Red Wings to a total of seven Stanley Cup championships. In 1997 he became the first National Hockey League coach to win 1,000 regular-season games.
